My mom is the best…
For a good conversation when it’s desperately needed.
The best shoulder to cry on.
The best person to share a laugh with.
Will deliver cupcakes (cookies, donuts, etc.) to me whenever I need them, no questions asked and stay to enjoy them with me over coffee.
Is the best Grandma ever to my daughter!
Since my mother doesn’t live in the Grand Rapids area, unfortunately, I would like to write this entry on behalf of my 4 (almost 5-year-old) and 3-year-old nieces, and soon to be making his arrival nephew! Their mother is a great Mommy! She loves her girls so much, and even with the busyness of preparing for a new baby spends all day with her girls! They play, go to school, take walks, blow bubbles outside, the girls help Mom cook and the list goes on. My 4-year-old niece is in preschool and my 3-year-old niece attends CLC to help with her Spina Bifida. Her Mommy is so patient with her, when she is using her walker and helps her with whatever she needs. She showers so much attention on these two sweethearts, that it would be WONDERFUL to be able to shower her with a little attention on her girls’ behalf! I know that she would be thrilled to win this scrumptious treat! And I know that she would share them with her girls and husband!
Thank you for this opportunity,
Melissa, Fiona & Whitney Nelson

My mom is the best! There are so many things she has done for me that I don’t know how to thank her for. But what matters the most are the little things that she has done. Leaving notes in lunches, calling to say “Good luck,” sewing a button, ironing a shirt, making breakfast, the list goes on. She loves her children unselfishly. She has made me into the person that I am today and I am extremely grateful for that. I hope someday I can be half the mother she is.
Why my mother-in-law is the best
It seems every grandchild loves their grandparents. I am so happy, though, that my daughter has a special opportunity to form a very special bond with her grandma. It was a scary time when my mother-in-law was diagnosed with cancer. I was pregnant at the time and while she was in the hospital all she would ask about is whether the baby was born yet. This would be her first grandchild. Well, I went past my due date and my daughter was born after Jean went home from the hospital. She was still not happy, though, because she wouldn’t be able to take care of Cayla right away after I returned to work. I remember telling her, “you just let me know when you’re ready and she’ll be here.” Cayla will be 2 at the end of the summer and her “gamma” takes care of her twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). It makes me happy that my mother-in-law beat the cancer and Cayla gets the individualized attention and love from her. There is a little part of me that believes that Cayla helped her grandma be more determined to get better and make it through chemo and all the treatments.
She deserves so much more, but a cupcake treat would be great!
My mom’s the best because of her unconditional love and support for each of her four children and for her husband, my dad, who is also awesome. Being a farmer’s wife is not easy, nor is homeschooling each of her four children, nor is taking on a part-time job to supplement the Farmer’s income, but my mom manages to do it all. Thanks, Mom!
My mom is the best, because when my grandfather got sick she stopped working to take care of him and when he passes she still helps out my grandma plus my two nephews and take care of the house. Clean make dinners by the way are awsome. She will go with out before anyone of her family members do. She has two sons and me (daughter) and her husband. When things are down she will try to make it a better for everyone. She is the best mom ever. I love you so much Mom thanks for everything u do for the family. We could not do it with out u. xoxoxoxox Rose Bud!
My mom really is the best mother and grandmother I could ever ask for. Her giving, unselfish spirit has helped me in more ways then I can count. I don’t know how our family would survive without her constant help and support. Whether it’s dropping in to allow for me to catch a half hour nap or dropping off a much needed bag of diapers to get us through the week she just always seems to know what we need. Sometimes that is just an ear to listen or a hug to get you through. I wish I could repay her for everything she has done for us and even if I tried my entire lifetime I would never be able to make it all up to her. There are so many deserving Moms out there that really we all have already won!
Mom is the best because she is always there for my siblings and me when we need her. When one of us nees a kid or dog babysat she does it for us. When someone is sick and we call her for lysol wipes or bread she gets it for us and drops it off at the door. Over Easter my son was very sick and so he and his twin sister couldn’t go to any Easter activities. Grandma brought us an Easter meal and the kids Easter presents. She even rescheduled the Easter egg hunt they were going to have with their cousin. She definetly deserves some cupcakes!
My mom stayed at home as I grew up. She often had fresh baked banana bread waiting for me when I got home from school an volunteered all the time at school or church. Now that I am older and having a hard time, my mom (and dad) opened their doors to my family. Throughout a rough pregnacy, I could go to the hospital, at a moments notice and leave my older son without worries. My mom not only takes care of me when I need it but my children, my father(who has a back injury from a drunk driver), and makes cheesecakes for injured neighbors. She is a caring and giving mother, grandmother, and wife. My mom is the best!
My mom is the most selfless person I have ever met. She did her best to provide her family of 6 with healthy meals, most of which she grew herself in her huge garden. She made everything from scratch, and made delicious meals from meager ingredients. If there were only 5 pieces of pie, she would declare that she wasn’t in the mood for pie that night. Not only did she do all the gardening, she also homeschooled all of us, and now she is a loving Nana to 9 grandchildren who adore her. She deserves to feel like she comes first and gets to be spoiled for once!
My mom is the BEST mom in the world! She is my hero. For about as long as I can remember it was just her and me. She was left at 26 years old to raise a 5 year old daughter (me) when my dad passed away from lung cancer. I’m 29 now, and I have no idea how she did it! She was my mother, my father, my sister and my best friend all rolled into one. She took care of me, was my shoulder to cry on, was there to make me smile and laugh, and she raised me properly so I knew that there were boundaries, too. Even when money was tight, she never caused me to worry – I never knew we struggled and I never went without. While raising me solo she lived across the country from her own family – she could have moved back out west, but she stayed in Michigan to make sure I knew my dad’s family, too. She went back to school and worked her way up with the hospital, where she’s now been for 20 years. She helped send me to college, helped with a wedding, and now spoils her first grandbaby rotten! She is funny, kind, intelligent and more beautiful – inside and out – than she gives herself credit for. My mom has always made sure that I have a safe place to go, a person I can confide in, and she loves me unconditionally. She is my best friend and my role model, and I really believe she is the best mom in the world.
My mom is the BEST because she has five children and 15 grandchildren and she loves them ALL unconditionally! From babysitting, to preparing holiday meals, she is always willing to step up and serve her family. Love you mom!
Not a lot of 20 yr. olds can say that their mom is on of their best friends. Mine is.
My mom is the best because of how much she’s sacrificed for my sisters and me. She homeschooled all of us all the way through highschool, (And you know, we turned out socially acceptable and have successful careers) let us own goats (just because we wanted them), helped us build a giant 2 story, trap door, balcony included, wrap around porch, wall of windows tree house in our backyard…has helped us get through college with minimal costs and has always pushed us to be our best and loved us unconditionally when we’ve been our worst.
Plus she’s hilarious, rides a motorcycle and can often be found sporting a bright yellow jacket and dangily earrings that may or may not resemble Christmas tree ornaments.
Awesome, I know.
Pick my mom, she really likes cupcakes… and Mothers Day… and getting cupcakes on Mothers day.
Who really brags about their mother-in-law? Me! She is a woman who gives 100% of herself for everyone else. Thrives on baking goodies, sewing, knitting, and gardening for her children and grandchildren. She is always ready to help on spur of the moment notice and won’t take no for an answer. Besides doing all that for us and our children, she also gives time and energy to her church family as well. I can only hope to come close someday to being the generous woman she is.
My mom is the best!
-She takes care of me when I need her, and I’m a “grown up” 20 year old kid! Things I appreciated when I lived at home (and some still now!):
-She is silly and serious and fun.
-She listens and offers good advice, not only when I seek her.
-She makes wonderful meals.
-She makes a bed so well. Nice tight sheets, good blankets, fluffy pillows.
-She always gives me a hug and tells me she loves me upon meeting and parting.
-She always has good tips and tricks for around the house stuff, or those common problems that tend to stump me.
-She’s taught me everything she knows!
-She loves chocolate, and taught me to love it too. Cupcakes sent her way would be appreciated in the best way! Gone to the last crumb, with smiles all the way!
-She is my mom! She’s just stinkin’ great!
My mom is the best because she sticks with me through thick and thin and has always given me uncondtional love!
I don’t know where to even begin telling you all the WONDERFUL things about my mom. I could write a book about how wonderful she is, and how she has changed my life. To this day I still call my mom my best friend! She is ALWAYS there when I need her, and helps me out so much with my two little girls. She is the best mother and grandma around! She has taught me so much, and I am the person I am today, because of my mom! *TEAR*
I just had my tonsils out yesterday and my adorable mom came to stay with us to take care of my children since my husband has to work all weekend. She is the most selfless person I have ever met. She is always concerned about everyone else and is such a blessing to those around her. She is also amazingly independent! When my dad died 5 years ago, my mom took on all of his reponsibilities as well as her own. She gets out there and snowblows her driveway, mows the lawn and even uses a chainsaw to chop up the trees that fell in her yard during a recent storm. She loves her children and grandchildren immensely and we love her back!
Seriously…..I really do have the best mom…..I have never had a moment in my life that she has not hopped in her car and drove over to my house as soon as I needed her….or cried tears with me, or prayed with me. she is my rock, my support, and such an encourager as I am a mom now. She has been through so much in her life…..a house fire, death of a parent, her husband fell 20ft from a tree and had a head injury and through it all her faith remained strong. She is a witness to many on how to live victoriously and have joy no matter what happens. She is also a fantastic grandma to her 5 grandkids! Love her!
My Mom is such a blessing. She has taught me about God and continues to model exemplery qualities. She has been struggling with respiratory issues this past year and helps my Dad, now that he is having health issues as well.
My children and I love her more than words can express. Being able to surprise her with this gift would be so rewarding and fun.
My mom is the best!! She’s been there thru thick & thin….good decisions I’ve made in my life and also there for the bad decisions! She doesn’t judge, she doesn’t nag, she doesn’t whine, she’s always there no matter what.
My mom is the best!!! She is my bestfriend. She is the best grandma to my children. She listens to all my griping and never judges. She is full of love
My Mom is my best friend!!! She will bend over backwards for anyone anytime! Even though she has been through alot this year, she still doesn’t let any of it get her down. There has NEVER been a time when she hasn’t been there for me. She has helped me through the good times and the bad, she has cried with me and laughed with me. I could not imagine my life without her. She is a hard worker and even on her day off she babysits her Grandkids! She is the definition of unconditional love! I Love you, Mom!!!
My MoM is the best. She is always giving and never taking. She is always doing for myself and my 2 awesome kids and my brother and his family. She never does anything for herself. She is always making sure we have what we need even when she does not have anything for herself. She is always putting everyone else ahead of herself. For many reasons, she is the best.
My mom is the best. She spends lots of time every week putting others first. She NEVER complains when she goes shopping with me and my two young children….her patience is AMAZING. What mom doesn’t deserve fresh-baked cupcakes delevered right to your door. It would seriously make her entire month! I’m just hoping she will share one with me!
My mom is the best-always thinking about others before herself.
My mom is the best! Se is always there for me. She sacrifices alot-her time mainly now. I had a daughter and gave her up for adoption. It is an open adoption, and I see my daughter when I can. My mother doesn’t have to be involved-especially to the extent that she is, but she is. It wasn’t her decision that created this situation. She goes weekly to visit my daughter and the other 4 kids in that family, to help out the adoptive mom. She gives one whole day to her, waching the kids so the adoptive mom can get out of the house and have a break, or go grocery shopping and just relax-taking them ou to McDonald’s or somewhere to have lunch, which they never get to do or really afford. I admire her and thank her for that. She sacrifices her time to do this, and its not like she has alot of time for herself anyway. Anyway mom, thanks and I love you!
I can’t say enough about my mom. She has a huge heart and is always giving of herself to others. She has been a beautiful example of love in my life, as she has always blessed others around her with no strings attached or expectations of blessings returned. She is kind and beautiful and though I don’t get to see her enough because of physical distance, she is ever present in my life.
